Well as you all can see we have high gas. I wonder what you are all thinking when it comes to running your line this season, take a few and share your thoughts.

I still plan on running alot of sets, but I may condense my line a bit tighter. Meaning I'll make more sets per location.

Hello Tim,
I won't be effected much. I set my line in areas to and from work. I really don't view trapping as a for-profit endeavor anyway. It is just a lifestyle for me. I hope that gas prices do not deter anyone from trapping this year. We have enough adversity as it is.

I hope that gas prices do not deter anyone from trapping this year. We have enough adversity as it is. Steve I have seen many polls on other sites referring to these prices & how it will hold many back. I'd say it's 50/50 with all the polls I have seen. I'll trap, but more condensed.

As far a reg trapping I'm lucky I can do all the trapping I want with in 20 mile of my house. We are doing bear trapping right now and WOW with the price of fule over $3.00 a gal it's killing us.

well back to running a more productive trap line.. gas prices I questioned last season on here but never thought they would be this high a year later. The way i see it that 100 mile line has to be more effective this year more fur less miles This makes us trap ways we dont always care too. that muskray mink lines grows into a coon and fox line as well.. got to take it as you drive by it type of trapping. I tend to want to focus on 1 type of trapping at a time but i cant see not taking a beaver who i once would of waited for a month later..
