All this week I had exams. School's a pain but I gess I'm going to need it lol. I've just been studying my butt off all week to do good on my tests.

As of right now I'm useing BMI 1 1/2 soft catch. I'm going to buy a half doz or a doz or Sleepy Creek 1.75 offsets. I'm want to use the 1.75 to hold the coyote's better. I'm also thinking of buying some #220's for coon. Did I pass ;D

Buy more and stronger traps. Watch a few trapping movies.

As for the 1 1/2 with a longer chain I tend to think they could pull, but again that is only my opinion. Another thing is I would have at least three swivels. Hope that is of some help. When you said you think they "could pull" what do you mean by that? Their is a swivel at the end , a box swivel then a center mounter swivel at the base of the trap. Thanks for all the help

I have a short chain with a shock spring. The chain is most likely chorter than a foot. The BMI 1 1/2 soft catch trap is what I have with the stock spring. Should I attach a longer chain or is it fine like it is?

Having 3 foot of chain wouldn't give the coyote a lot of room to get a running start to yank his self out?
