BMP is getting to be my soapbox lately, the more I research it the more it scares me. If you go into some of the UE sites and read what these people want and I believe will get in the end it spooky. At the risk of making someone mad. I believe the NTA should fighting not appeasing. I don't know what else I can do most trappers are either neutral or for BMP. I can't convince them the bunny huggers in the EU want their traps every bit as much as Sarah Brady wants their guns. Alaska HOMESTEADING Journal

I agree with you all the way on this.
All I have been doing about it is trying to reason/convince anyone who will listen about the problems with it.
I also agree with you it should be a major concern of the NTA and all trappers.
The blackmail/extorsion the EU is submitting us to is disgusting.
It reminds me of CITES and the ginseng regs that states had to get in order to be able to sell it. That is a prime example of federal being forced upon states rights.

I just placed a link with a list of EU "approved" traps over on T-Man you should look at it I don't own a single one, if this nonsense go through I would have to replace something to the tune of 300 traps, some are old Newhouse and Triumphs that were given to me by by the old man who taught me how to trap. I'll check it out. I know how you feel about having to replace traps. Shoot I have about the same amount and a lot of them are from when I got them new in the 50's and up to the late seventies or so. A bunch of Montgomery's I swear by that I hope aren't on that list!!!!! Talk to you later AK and thanks for the info. Paul
