Nothing last weekend. The culvert was untouched, not even dammed back up. The castor mound had visited, with more debris piled up (kind of off to the side, and not on the pile I had created), but the trap had not been sprung. I believe it was too deep.
Had to pull the traps due to time constraints. I am going to wait until the end of duck season (when I have access to all of the pond) and hit them with all of the arsenal I have - 2 CDR 7.5's, 6 330's & up to 24 snares. If finesse and the learning curve haven't helped, maybe sheer firepower will!
Not much to show (except for a lot of miles and a large gas bill) but I am learning a lot about their behavior, and having fun at the same time......
It took several years to harvest my first deer, I guess I need to put in my time here too.......Can't wait to catch the first tree killer......

We got 2 1/2 inches of rain in like 3 hours needless to say all of the creeks and rivers flooded way above normal plain and i couldnt get to my traps for a couple fo days i lost a beaver and a fox. Bad luck for a begginner but im used to bad luck by now only cought 1 beaver and one coon all season. -Trapnstud-

That's tough kuck Trapnstud. Esp about losing those animals! We are getting the rain too. Stream out back is way over it's banks. Coming up to the dooryard darn near.

Okay, Okay - Here is the Update: I GOT HIM! ;D Well one anyways.....Here are the pics. CDR 7.5 by the hind foot. Weighed 48#. Now I have to skin the thing. Pictures really were from today, but the date stamp got screwed up on my new camera.
