I know-trying to keep track of all newcomers-that's EXACTLY why you were abandoned!!! No, sweetie, I didn't do it on purpose-this computer had like almost 500 viruses...my friend defragged all of it, so I'm back baby!!! WELCOME TO ALL 5000 NEW MEMBERS...is that about right Paul? It's been awhile... Jen

Paul,
The cold? Physically working outdoors on midnight i have adjusted. As for the trapping...I expected the inch of snow last night to have the doggies moving so I had me sets in about three days in advance. I set a dirt hole that previously took a grey and a scent [post using a Lenon gland lure. This morning I had found that a yote had walked all over the scent post set to the point that there was little snow left over the trap area and the trap did not fire! I checked my next set, the dirt hole and found the exact same situation! I am using peat and waxed dirt and none of it seemed to be frozen. I was frustrated and pressed for time so i just relured and will pull the set in the AM (two coiled bridgers) and will be replacing with new MB650s and will try two wrap in saran wrap as suggested by d. Tanner. I have never had so much fun screwing up in all my life!!

Steve
You couldn't see anything keeping the traps from springing ?? I think the saran wrap is a good idea. Have used it before and it works. Good Luck.
I have to drive up to Rochester tomorrow to pick up a cap for my truck. Six hour drive in the sub zero temps up there. Then putting the cap on and driving back. Fun! Won the bid on eBay and got a $1200+ cap for $300,even if it is used.
Keep me informed on the trapping please.

Paul,
I did not see anything obvios keeping the traps from firing. It was dark and I did not dig em up due to time constraints. As mentioned, I will be returning in the AM to remove and investigate.
Congrats on the cap! I just picked up a Jeep pioneer for $1000 that is worth about four thousand...Patients is the key...and timing...and luck..
I was planning to head out to see my daughter in PA tomorrow, also 5 hours, but do to the snow I am going to reschedule.
Safe trip tomorrow.
