With a dirt hole set, how far should the trap be from the hole. I was looking at the home page under "fox set" and I believe it was 10 inches. How about if I was to set doubles do i need to put one behind that trap or infront(closer to the hole).

I will tell you how I do it for fox. Not everyone will agree and that is fine all I know is this works for me. I set almost up tight to to hole. At most an inch back. I offset to the right maybe an inch or two, say the trap pan is at 5 o'clock to the bottom of the hole. Some say you must have trap further back for yotes and if I trapped just for them I would set back away from hole more. The way it is I still pick up yotes. Maybe I am missing a few but thats what it is. Don't make the hole too shallow/to much angle as they will stand further back to look/smell in the hole. As for "doubles" I don't put two traps at a dirt hole. It is, however, very profitable to make another set, say a post or flat set, near the original. Again, what I like to do is put in a set using a prominent clump of grass or small piece of wood/bone, etc with a squirt of urine on it about 6-8 feet away. Hope this helps and if anyone has more info to help out here or another method POST IT please.
