Hello,
I wanted to stop by and say hello. I've done some laminating and baseplating to keep the spirit alive but for the most part, have packed up all my trapping goodies till fall... I did walk a number of my set locations last week and the yotes have been visiting them regularly. I will certainly be prebaiting next season.. I purchased a new trapping truck as well..A nice little Tacoma x cab 4*4..I trust that it will serve me well and am looking forward to getting it muddy. I hope that all are well. Did anyone else receive the questionaire from Cornell University regarding NYS trapping?

Hey Steve, good to hear from you again.
We haven't been very active on here lately. I tried to keep it going but not much interest. Prob. due to the hype being over for this seaon and hopefully will pick up before next years harvest.
The Tacoma sounds like just the ticket for running the line!! I envy you on that one!
That was a good move your part running your old sets and checking the action.
Bet you were surprised to see the OLD lure and urine still calling them in after all that time.
I learned that back in the late 60's. We don't really have to re-lure and use a lot of urine as often as we have ben told! I've checked sets six months after pulling the trap and they would still be active.
The pre-baiting is something I like to do, esp with fox. It gets them coming and works for me anyway.
As for the Cornell survey, it's legit. Not everyone gets it every year though. I figure I should respond to it 'cause if I didn't what right would I have to gripe about their recommendations to the state?
Gives us a good chance to give some input.
Hope to hear from you again soon.
Paul
